A Slice of Paradise: Exploring Destin Area Beaches

We enjoyed our stay in Miramar Beach as well as trips to check out some neighboring areas.

Embark on a thrilling jet ski excursion, parasail high above the sparkling waters, go deep sea fishing, enjoy a dolphin watching cruise, take a tiki boat ride to Crab Island or paddleboard along the tranquil shoreline. With an abundance of water sports and activities available, there's never a dull moment on the Gulf Coast. We took an evening cruise on Screaming Eagle to watch the dolphins play in the surf and enjoy the sunset, a great way to spend an hour. Before you embark, enjoy a drink at The Harbor Tavern and validate your parking! Also, we highly recommend enjoying a sweet treat from Beignets & Brews. The beignets with the butter cream dipping sauce were so good, we had to try them twice on this trip!

After a day of sun-soaked fun, indulge in the local culinary delights that the Emerald Coast has to offer. From fresh seafood shacks to upscale waterfront dining, there's no shortage of delicious cuisine to tantalize your taste buds. Some favorites from our trip include Pascali Kitchen for a drool worthy breakfast biscuit sandwich and beignets (they also serve New York style pizza, sandwiches, cinnamon rolls and pies to go but are closed on Monday and Tuesday) , Bad Ass Coffee for your morning dose of caffeine (download the app to order ahead and skip the line), Fat Clemenza's for AMAZING wood-fire pizza and pasta (so good we had to go more than once, alcoholic beverages include beer and wine only), The Perfect Pig for brunch (I recommend the quiche), Mezcal Mexican Grill for fantastic queso, shrimp tacos and margaritas and Tailfins Waterfront Grill for live music and a great grouper sandwich.
