A recent work trip brought me to this picturesque oasis in Rancho Mirage. I'm excited to share the details of my unforgettable experience! Nestled in the heart of the sun-drenched Coachella Valley, the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa offers a perfect blend of luxury, relaxation, and adventure.

Arrival and First Impressions
Upon arrival, the first thing that caught my attention was the resort's stunning Spanish architecture, set against the backdrop of the striking San Jacinto mountains. The check-in process was seamless. Arriving before check-in time didn’t present any problem and the staff was welcoming, providing a warm start to what would be a delightful stay.

Accommodations
After a quick golf cart ride, I arrived at building 27. Whether you are on the ground floor or second level, the staff is happy to help bring your luggage right to your door. I stayed on the ground floor in a spacious, elegantly furnished room that featured a plush king-size bed, and a private patio offering panoramic views of the golf course. The attention to detail in the amenities provided, including Nest toiletries and a well-stocked minibar, made the room truly feel like a home away from home.

Dining
The Omni Rancho Las Palmas does not disappoint when it comes to dining. The resort features several restaurants, each promising a unique culinary experience. I especially enjoyed dining at BluEmber, where the chef uses fresh, local ingredients to craft inventive dishes that are a feast for both the palate and the eyes. Our group started with chips and guacamole and then continued our lunch with a turkey club sandwich, beet salad and a cobb salad. All were made with fresh ingredients and were pretty tasty! Dining al fresco with views of the beautiful adult pool and vibrant flowers were just what I needed coming from Minnesota, where it’s not quite as beautiful this time of year. BluEmber was also a great place to enjoy cocktails in the bar area. We stopped by a couple times for espresso martinis, sparkling rose, and other libations. We each were given a free drink card upon check in too!
Palms Cafe has grab and go options, coffee and made to order items to enjoy in your room or in one of the areas throughout the resort. I was fond of the tuna melt with sweet potato fries. The portion was big and could have been a shared meal. We stopped by each morning for coffee; the service was quick and there were a good number of options.
One afternoon on the walk back to our rooms, a co-worker and I checked out the Splash Grill for a little happy hour beverage. We sat at the bar to enjoy the shade, a margarita and a pina colada. It was blissful! They have a lot of fun specialty drinks and many snack options.

Activities and Amenities
For the golfers, there is a beautiful 27-hole golf course, appealing to all skill levels. Besides golf, the resort also boasts tennis and pickleball courts, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. For families, the Splashtopia water park is an absolute must-visit. Complete with a lazy river, waterslides, and a sandy beach, it provides endless fun for children and adults alike. It was delightful to see families enjoying themselves in the sun, making the most of these fantastic facilities. The adult-only pool is a serene escape for those looking to unwind in a quieter environment. There is also a boutique with clothing, accessories, toys, souvenirs, spa products, and gifts. If you forgot an essential, they have you covered too.

Relaxation and Service
Every aspect of the Omni aims to provide relaxation. Although I didn't get a chance to enjoy it, the spa offers a wide range of treatments to soothe and rejuvenate in a gorgeous setting. I even felt relaxed sitting outside on the patio catching up on emails and taking some virtual meetings. If you have to work, you might as well make the best of it! Moreover, the customer service throughout the resort was top-notch. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and eager to help, enhancing the overall quality of my stay.
Meetings and Events
Being at a work conference at this luxury resort was such a treat. The conference area is just a short walk from the lobby and was very comfortable. There were about 300 people in attendance and the meeting space was roomy, sound was good, and the room temperatures were well regulated. In addition, the food provided a great variety for everyone. All of these things are not easy to accomplish for a large group, but they nailed it. We had an evening reception on the golf course, and it was a night to remember. The sunset was amazing, as was the live music and hot air balloon rides! If you are planning a conference, this location provides good proximity to the Palm Springs airport, ample space for meetings, great food, fantastic service and a lot of fun!

Conclusion
My time at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa was nothing short of spectacular. With its stunning settings, luxurious accommodations, ample amenities, and attentive service, it stands out as a premier destination for those seeking a tranquil yet engaging getaway in Southern California. The resort provides everything you need without leaving, but also close to everything the Palm Springs area has to offer. Whether you're planning a romantic retreat, a family vacation, or a solo adventure, the Omni offers a perfect mix of relaxation and activity, ensuring that every guest leaves with memorable experiences. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and hope it's not for work! ;-)
